Monastic Interfaith Dialogue
Coming from a foundation for Christian Unity our Community is also committed to supporting the ongoing dialogue between people of all religions. As monasticism is a universal phenomenon, a path followed by adherents of many of the world’s religions, it is felt to be an important aspect of our Benedictine life to pray for all people seeking God, The Divine, The Absolute, whatever name is used. And in our life at Mucknell we try to make time to learn something of the other world religions in our study, and in the conferences we may attend, if sometimes actual face-to-face, personal interaction with other religions is more limited than we would like.
One of the best journals I have come across in recent years that nourishes my interest in other religions is "Interreligious Insight". The variety and quality of the articles is wonderful and stimulating. I highly recommend you visit the website HERE.
Jonathan Sacks' address during the recent papal visit was very inspiring, read it HERE.
